They named a burger after McBride and it’s not the Big Mac

Weber State fans who didn’t make the trip today to Greeley, Colo., to see the Wildcats take on Northern Colorado have been invited to a watch party at MacCools Public House Restaurant, located at 2510 Washington Blvd. in the Ben Lomond Hotel.

MacCools has named one of their burgers the MaC — see what they did there? It’s a nod to both Weber State football coach Ron McBride and the name of the restaurant. Clever.

Sources tell me the specialty burgers will not be Big Macs catered by McDonalds.

If you’re not at MacCools or in Greeley, the game is on Altitude TV.

Here are the details from WSU:

The party will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the game starting at 1:30 p.m. Several food specials will be run during the party (see below for details). Members of the Weber State Spirit Squad will be in attendance supporting the team and a portion of the Game Watch proceeds will help benefit the Spirit Squad.

Game Watch Party, Saturday, Sept. 24, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

*Food Specials

  • .25 Cent Wings
  • $4.99 Brats and Onions
  • $5.50 MaC Burger (Named after Coach Mac)
