Weber State basketball: See DEC scoreboard upgrades at tonight's Purple and White scrimmage

Weber State is hosting its annual Purple and White scrimmage tonight at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center for fans to get to know the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Admission is free. Randy Rahe and Carla Taylor will introduce their teams and speak to the crowd about the upcoming season.

As I wrote in today’s newspaper, Rahe will be watching to see how his guys absorb the many concepts he’s thrown at them in just a week of official practices.

Tonight is also a chance for fans to check out some changes in the arena the Wildcats are excited about. Posted below are more of the artist’s depictions of how the hi-tech upgrades should look.

The changes include:

New videoboard
Rotating LED display ring above scoreboard
Electronic LED digital score table
New wall scoreboards
New Basketball standards
New three-sided shot clocks.

  1. Charles White says:

I played at weber State university in 1973 and 74 are there any pictures of the team that were during that time coached by Neil McCarthy?
