Can the Top of Utah bring home four state soccer titles next weekend?
It’s certainly possible.

In all four state classifications, some of the top-ranked teams in the state have already started their playoff runs, including squads from up north.
In 5-A, Davis continues to plow through the competition, advancing to next Tuesday’s semifinals after knocking off Lone Peak. The Darts battle former Region 1 rival Viewmont next. Playoff darkhorse Northridge scored stunning upsets over both Taylorsville and Bingham this week and faces defending 5-A champ Alta in the other semifinal.
In 4-A, Bonneville is still the favorite to win it all as they downed Clearfield to advance to the semifinals. All four teams remaining are no pushovers, though. The Lakers still have their work cut out for them, especially if they face unbeaten Skyline in the title game.
In 3-A, defending state champ Ogden remains undefeated at 16-0 after topping Judge Memorial in the first round. However, the 3-A field may be deeper than any other classification. Park City, Snow Canyon, Dixie and Cedar all have the potential to run the table. The Tigers face Cedar in the quarterfinals on Saturday, a rematch of last season’s championship game.
And in 2-A, St. Joseph remains a contender if they can put together a nice run, starting with Willard in the quarterfinals Saturday. The Jayhawks would love to finally get over the hump after losing last season’s title game.
