If Roy had a time-traveling DeLorean, he’d return to 1988 and make sure his previously undefeated T-ball team won its championship game the same year as the L.A. Dodgers won the World Series.
Roy graduated from Utah State University in 2004 with a degree in communications (print journalism emphasis) and a minor in Spanish, which has come in handy when interviewing minor league baseball players from the Dominican Republic.
Roy has worked at the Standard-Examiner since 2005 and has covered the Ogden Raptors, the Utah Blaze, high school sports and the now-infamous Utah Snowbears. He previously served an internship with the Deseret News and was the sports editor of the Utah Statesman, USU’s campus newspaper.
