WASHINGTON – Utah’s United States Senators Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee today introduced a resolution “honoring the memory of Special Agent Jared Francom of the Ogden Police Department and the bravery of his fellow officers on the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force.” Special Agent Francom of Ogden was murdered, and several of his fellow Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force team members injured, while executing a search warrant in Ogden two weeks ago.
“Special Agent Francom and his fellow officers were serving and protecting our community when they were cowardly attacked,” Hatch said. “Today, we ask that the entire United States Senate join with us in honoring these officers’ bravery and service to their community. Special Agent Falcom was a member of the Ogden Police Department for eight years, and I know his memory will live on through the honor and distinction of his fellow officers in the force.”
“Officer Jared Francom was a devoted family man, dedicated father to his two young daughters and a loving son and brother to his family,” said Lee. “He took great risk to serve the people and community he loved and will be remembered for his honor, integrity and dedication.”
