Catherine Burt has been an Online Producer with the Standard-Examiner since October 2006, an animal lover all her life, vegetarian since 2003, and a full-fledged vegan (”strict vegetarian”) since December 2007.
In the process of her omnivore-to-vegan journey, Catherine has become an active voice for environmental and compassionate causes (both human and animal), a downright good vegan cook, and general know-it-all/pain in the butt to all the omnivores who know and love her anyway. She enjoys an active lifestyle with her fiance and takes advantage of scenic outdoor Utah as much as possible. When the weather is nice.
