Just two days until Weber State opens the college basketball season, and we all know what that means.
It’s time to start looking at the projected brackets for the NCAA tournament in March.
Well, maybe it’s a bit too soon to be concerned with that, but ESPN.com’s early bracket has WSU as a No. 15 seed playing No. 2 seed Purdue in Milwaukee in the first round. Fans shouldn’t read too much into this since Joe Lunardi, who updates the bracketology site weekly, probably just plugs in the projected conference champions from the mid-majors. Since WSU was selected first by both the media and coaches in the preseason polls, it’s the Wildcats who get the early nod.
