Pregame from Montana

Greetings from Missoula, Mont., where everyone I’ve seen has either been wearing purple or maroon.

It’s just less than 90 minutes before kickoff of the much-anticipated game between No. 14. Weber State (purple) and No. 2 Montana (maroon). The winner will likely earn the Big Sky Conference’s automatic spot in the FCS playoffs, although Northern Arizona and Montana State may have some say in the whole thing.

A quick injury update:

WSU linebacker Nick Webb is planning on playing today. Webb injured his shoulder during last week’s win at Northern Colorado, and was doubtful for today. But he’s wearing extra padding under the shoulder pads – similar to what defensive lineman Kevin Linehan wore earlier this season.

Be sure to tune into the game at 1 p.m. on KJZZ. If you don’t want to listen to the hometown Montana announcers and can deal with a two or three-second delay, mute the TV and tune into Carl Arky and Ty Sparrow on KLO 1430 AM.

They just opened the gates and over in the student section there’s a mad dash for the front row.  It should be a great atmosphere for a football game today.
