Movsisyan to leave RSL at end of season

RSL forward Yura Movsisyan might have a difficult time staying focused for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old signed a contract to play for Danish side Randers FC beginning on Jan. 1, when his contract with RSL is finished. Movsisyan spent the weekend in Denmark to finalize the deal. So far this season Movsisyan has four goals and two assists in 16 appearances.

I’ll be sad to see him go. He’s played very well.

This must be a Euro thing? Players just take off in the middle of the season pretty often, I have noticed, for their national teams or to sign with another league.

I’m thinking it makes it tougher for MLS teams to maintain consistency, even for a full season. It’s not great for the fans, either. It reminds me of Triple A baseball teams and their ever-rorating rosters.
