In all the excitement about the Aggies NCAA tournament bid, Utah State coach Stew Morrill remembered to think about one of his former assistants.
Asked about the three teams from the state of Utah heading to the Big Dance, Morrill wished there were four.
“I just think it’s great for the state. I’ve always said this is a wonderful basketball state, has been for a long, long time,” Morrill said. “I wish my man Randy Rahe was in, too, because (the Wildcats) deserve to be in, too.”
Rahe was an asssitant to Morrill for 13 seasons — seven at Colorado State and six at Utah State.
Weber State will be playing in the NIT against San Diego State.
